General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Mitrazipine good drug that is useful in depression

Let me know after one year how much improvement present in your child??

Usually medication for depression given for eight months

If no improvement then further course prescribed

The psychiatrist has examined your child and so he might feel that lamotrigine also required

According to my opinion if it is depression condition and if improvement noted then one drug is enough

You can discuss with your treating psychiatrist for deciding management plan

Behavioural therapy Also beneficial

Take care

Hope your concern solved
