How Can Cold Be Treated While Suffering From Hypertension?

I take 2.5mg daily of ramipril for a blood pressure issue. This dose keeos my resting bp at 100/70. I am currently on day 5 of a really bad cold and my sinuses are giving me a terrible time i havent slept for more than 3 hours in each of the past 3 nights. I ve tried steam inhalation using olbas oil I ve covered myself in Vicks vapourub nothing is helping and I m teetering on the brink of taking pseudoephedrine as I m getting desperate. How much if anything would it be likely to effect my b.p. given that it is under control

According to history provided you are having upper respiratory tract infection or sinusitis. You can get investigated with CBC and paranasal sinus X-ray for further workup. Decongestant like Levocetirizine 5 milligram once a day can be prescribed for symptomatic relief. Avoid excess spicy food. Take one teaspoon turmeric powder with milk daily. Vitamin C once a day can be beneficial. Consult physician for examination.
