How Can Cold And Partial Hearing Loss Be Treated?

I had a what a think was a cold. I sweated it out and began feeling better, but I continued to have a nasal issue and needed to blow me nose every 5-10 minutes. Now, I have hearing issues in the left ear. When my head is level I get some hearing loss. When I tilt my head down the loss increases. When I tilt my head up I regain hearing. Please advise. And thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Partial hearing loss you are experiencing is due to cold, which has resulted in middle ear congestion. Kindly take appropriate decongestant medication. Along with it do salt water gargling with warm water twice daily and take steam inhalation along with it. As the congestion subsides, your hearing should improve and will be back to normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
