General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.

It seems that you may have either a ear infection or a blocked ear doe to inflammation from the recent cold.

I recommend :
-an ENT opinion
- warm saline gargles
-protect your ears from cold, strong winds.
-gargle with soluble aspirin and spit out the water. Do not swallow it.
-avoid using an ear bud or any other instrument in your ear.
-don't blow your nose too hard. Blow gently, one nostril at a time. This to avoid increased pressure in the ear.

It takes the ear a lot get time to heal than the throat as it is a closed space.
However, I urge you to consult an ENT specialist to rule out eardrum damage and infection.

Either way, rest and medications will help. Occasionally, drainage of collected fluid (if present) may be necessary.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
