How Can Chronic Diarrhea Be Treated?

Hi. I got severe diarrhea from taking Cephalexin 2 months ago. I ended up with a mild case of diverticulitis so I was prescribed Cipro and Flagyl. My last does of those was 12/5/17. I still have mild diarrhea 3 weeks later. Although it is less severe when I stick mostly with the BRAT diet, it has not gone away. I started taking Nature s Way Fortify probiotic 16 days ago. It appears to curb the diarrhea for the rest of the day after I take it but I still have diarrhea the next day. Is this normal to still have diarrhea with no solid bowel movements after 3 weeks of stopping antibiotics? Is there anything else I can do to stop the diarrhea? I have no other symptoms. What type of doctor should I consult to assist with this issue?nThank you.

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Do a coproculture test
-Continue with the brat diet
-Take probiotics
-Take Imodium 2 tablets first and one tablet every time you have diarrhea (you can take 6 tb a day)
-See a gastrologyst for a proper diagnose
