How Can Chronic Cough Be Treated?

I have a cough that I have had for over a year. My doctor gave me cough medicine which didn t help. No congestion - nothing but a cough. I am a nonsmoker; have never smoked. Used to have bronchitis a lot as a young person though as I grew up in a house with 2 smoking parents.

Hello,

You are affected as passive smoker try to avoid your parents when smoking. Consult pulmonologist for complete check-up of lung fields. If bronchospasm is present then can take bronchodil. Request your parents to smoke outside the home and can explain your problem to them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
