Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Chronic, productive cough for 4 years! Dr. did xray, CTscan, blood work and found nothing. 3 hours in the allergist office for testing...found nothing. Spoke to my cardiologist about my BP med amlodipine and the FDA report that it can cause coughing, so she switched me to doxazosin 2 months ago and I m still coughing. Any suggestions? HELP!

How Can Chronic Cough Be Treated?
Hi, Chronic coughing if not from cardiovascular or allergy problems, then, stomach issues should be ruled out especially when it comes to acid reflux. Should get an upper endoscopy to rule this out. Discuss immediately with a gastroenterologist. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
