How Can Chest Pain Be Treated While Suffering From Heart Dysfunction?
Hello my name is Cheryl Thrasher I am 57-year old woman that had 2-heart attacks one in December of 2012 and the doctor put in 2-stents in the RCA and the second heart attack in March of 2014. My Cardiologist did a stress test on October 5th 2016 and the results came back that I have 34% systolic function in the Left Ventricle but here is the question I have a blood pressure cuff and for the past two weeks the highest my blood pressure has been is 191 over 117 and I also have chest pains and migraine head-aches and I want to sleep what should I do?
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, for migraines OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be used. Triptan medicine used in migraine routine should be strictly avoided as it can increase heart disease.
For increasing blood pressure after heart issues and low ejection fraction, you need to adjust it accordingly. Using ACE inhibitors or ARBs alongside beta blockers is a must. Using losartan and bisoprolol alongside amlodipine can be helpful. If still uncontrolled fourth anti hypertensive or diuretics may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
