How Can Chest Congestion Be Treated While Suffering From Diabetes And Hypertension?

I m a diabetic and high blood pressure, also had asthma attack yesterday for first time in years I have sold and tight chest congestion along with a severe cough. Should I take coricidin chest congestion & cough tablets. I m also taking prednisone for the next 3 days. Thanks for your help. Happy holidays to you!

Hello,

Regarding your symptoms you should take coricidin, but based on your asthma attack I think you need a physical examination( pulmonary auscultation, O2 saturation) by a pneumologist and chest radiography to exclude some pulmonary pathology. You should be aware taking prednisolon can have a impact in glycemia so you need a consult with your doctor.
