I have Bursitis in my left knee. It flared up recently and is painful when walking. I was wearing sandals all summer ,then wore hiking boots a couple of days. That s when the knee became painful. This has been for 3 weeks. What can I do to alleviate the pain?

Rest as much as possible. Paracetamol plus Ibuprofen tablets and Diclofenac gel or spray can be helpful. Hot fomentation locally is another option.
