How Can Burning Sensation Around A Lileostomy Tape?
My husband wears a ileostomy The tape is burning his skin that hold the wafer in place concern skin infection could happen can t put lubricant there tape would not hold the wafer in place any suggestions Sorry have to call someone this was soppose to be free

As ileostomy produces lots of liquids, very often it is hard to keep the skin around it in a good condition. The best he can do is to decrease the amount of stool. To do that, Loperamid should be helpful.
If the ileostomy is not protruding or even it kind of collapses, surgical fixation of it might be necessary.
I suggest him to visit his surgeon.
