How Can Burning Sensation Above The Ankles Be Treated?

Hi I take otc nexium Rx Nasonex Advair Zoloft potassium metforman singular exforge daily. Lately I have been having some skin issue on my legs only on the just above the ankle area. It is red and kind of bumpy to the touch and it itches like crazy and has a burning sensation. My diet consists of high protein and lots of dark vegetables steamed and raw and few fruits that doesn t have a lot of carbs. My hands gets itchy also but not as severe or frequent as the legs. I ve cut out pastas breads rice and wheat. Sugars I use natural vanilla and 1/2&1/2 but it dose have sugar in it but no artificial flavoring added to it. I drink water and coffee all day. I have also noticed that under my tongue left and right of my mouth has been itchy too. This started 3 days ago when I started to take otc nexium. Is any of the meds otc or Rx causing the symptoms I m experiencing?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to `Ask A Doctor` service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

* The current issue of burning above ankle is not normal and is not
related to side effect of nexium.

* I suspect underlying neurologic reason for the same and manage
accordingly after expert evaluation by consultant neurologist on
board.

Feel free to post further doubts.
Thank you.
