How Can Blood Clots In The Legs Be Treated?

I had a chronic clot in my left main vein in the groom. It started to get painful. I told my GP AND THEY ACHEDULED AN APPT WITH A CARDIOLOGIST. The cardiologist put in three stents in the left leg then realized there were more clots in the right leg. The pain was unbelievable and o called the cardio’s office. They told me to get to the ER and I did. After a few days and my temp at 99.8 they were eager to have me leave the hospital. I was never asked where I live. 3rd floor and I live alone. Just scheduled me for a bunch of money-making appts. Ima at my daughter’s house cause her home is on one floor. They sent me home with locomotives shots and never asked if I knew how to do them. I’m terrified that I’ll die in my daughter’s house. Tomorrow I’m going to my GP to see what he has to say.

Hello,

The clots in the can treat surgically. After the surgery, you need to have anti-clotting drugs for prophylaxis like heparin.

This is to stop further clots to form. This condition is called as Deep vein thrombosis. It can be confirmed by Color Doppler ultrasound. You need to monitor the INR (International normalization ratio).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Srinivas Bandam
