How Can Backache Caused By An Injury Be Treated?

I fell off the 2nd step of a step ladder onto my back and on a hard kitchen floor. This happened Tuesday afternoon. It is now Friday, it is still painful, especially when initially getting up after laying down, but it is getting better slowly. I have not pooped though since it happened on Tuesday. The next appointment for an othopedic doctor that I could make is not for 13 more days. I feel I can take the back pain, but am worried about not being able to poop yet. Fiber supplements and laxative I startred yesterday have not worked yet. Any Advice ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Possible injury to the tailbone. Sitz bath, use of rubber tire or soft cushion for sitting, anti-inflammatory medicines will support till you take an X-ray or MRI with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
