What Causes Persistent Pain In Back After Injury?

Hello. I am 19 and have been a patient of backache since i was 17. I got backache after falling down from 5-6 step stairs. I did the x-ray, doctor suggested me to do physiotherapy and i did it. But after that i always got pain in my back. Sometimes my back bones ache but the back tissues ache every day. Someone suggested to homeopathic medicine which i started in january and it lasted only 3 months but didnt get cured. Dont know what to do. I am thinking of MRI but i am kinda scared by the fact that it would disturb my periods. My mother is against itbecaused i am just 19 and she believes backache causes so many problems in pregnancy and MRI will make my period cycle worse.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
At this age having backache after fall might be due to having some damage in your back muscles or vertebral column.
MRI willbe of very much helpful and it has no any adverse effect on your period or genito-urinary system.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Meanwhile go for back extension exercises regularly.
Ok and take care.
