How Can Atrophic Vaginitis And Painful Intercourse Be Treated?

Qthank you. I have been having fairly minimal vaginal itching and discharge. My doc prescribed two treatment s one vain all cream the other a pill for yeast infection. I am improved but when I went back she prescribed (without lab work) flagyl and miconazole. I am uncomfortable, particularly using the flagyl, without certainty that I have a vaginal bacterial infection, I am married but have not had intercourse in a while because I have serious a tropic vaginitis and intercourse is very painful. What do you think

The treatment by your doctor seem ok but you may need follow up and tests to confirm that the medicines is working
Urinalysis high vaginal swab and pap smear wilk be adquate for a start
For Atrophic vaginitis and painful intercouse This has to do with the age and The hormonal levels
so it is necessary to check female hormonal profile
Hormonal replacement theraphy is very important to releive the pain during sex
if no improvement consult gyneacologist for advise
