How Can Atrial Fibrillation Be Treated?

I take eliquis and have done so for a year-plus, against the risk of stroke following upon atrial fibrillation. My by-mail druggist has told me that my Rx will arrive three days later than I had anticipated, and unfortunately I had only a one-day extra supply of eliquis. I still have some leftover warfarin from before I shifted to Eliquis. I read that the interaction between eliquis and the warfarin is simply because of excessive thinning, but I have in mind for those two missing days (July 4 holiday complicates earlier delivery) for doing the eliquis while I still have it, then shifting to the warfarin, and shifting back when, after 2 days, my refill for eliquis arrives. Would I be wiser to buy some aspirin and use them ad interim instead? Thank you for your advice.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Better not to take warfarin to fill out this gap.
Warfarin is strong blood thinner. It's action lasts for 36-48 hours. So there is risk of bleeding when you stop warfarin and start eliquis.
Yoi can take Ecosprin today fill the gap as it is not much strong blood thinner and it's action lasts for 18-24 hours.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
