How Can Arthritis In The Spinal Cord, Progressing To The Fingers, Be Treated?

I have arthritis in my spinal cord and now it seems to be going into the fingers of my two hands. It is not at the disfiguring stage or anything like that, but I m a wood carver and itn is already hampering my work somewhat. What kind of doctor should I see and can it be slowed down or stopped? What kind of fees am I going to incur??
