Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unfortunately, the menisci cannot be replaced and if severely damaged, cannot be repaired. The knee replacement would replace the arthritic joint with a mechanical joint which would mean pain relief for you.
If you are not comfortable with it then physiotherapy and pain medications would be your other option.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
