How Can Anxiety With Paranoia Be Treated?

Hi, I ve been dealing with quite a lot of anxiety and paranoia about feeling threatened by people outside my home. I was approached by a group of people coming from behind and as they called my name my knees buckled and I started to shake immediately, and as soon as they walked past it completely dissapeared. I m worried for my health, any advice?

Hello thanks for choosing HCM for your health related queries

You have intense fear or paranoid ideas about being threatened by people. The shakiness, tumbling you suffered when you heard the name of yours are due to severe anxiety. I would advise you to visit a psychiatrist for making proper diagnosis. In paranoia suspiciousness is seen along with severe anxiety. Suspiciousness and ideas of reference are common in paranoia. While in anxiety severe fear is main complaint. Medicines are SSRIs are commonly used in severe anxiety. Medicine like Fluoxetine, Paroxetine etc help to decrease anxiety. Apart from that try relaxation exercises to keep yourself relaxed.

Thanks, hoe this helps you.
