i have a rash on my foot that started apprx. 7 months ago at about the size of a dime. Now it coversabout a third of my foot. It itches then burns at times. I am a Disabled veteran and was told by the VA that it was Atheletes Foot, and was given cream for that. This was 2 months ago, NOT WORKING. I also use Alovera Plant, which makes it feel somewhat better. Any suggestons?
Hi. As per your case history of itching on feet. My treatment advice is - 1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on itchy skin. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
