How Can An Itchy Rash On The Back Be Treated?

For a few months I have been experiencing hives/rash that is extremely itchy. Started on my back, then spread to backs of legs and calves, now front of legs as well. Also now arms and back of neck. Also, extreme fatigue for a few months, maybe since before the hives began. Also, for several months I ve been having rapid heart rate and difficulty breething, which doctors say is from anxiety, but it even wakes me up while sleeping. Ativan does help lower heart rate, but when it wears of, the rapid heart rate starts again. That s why they think it s anxiety, but it happens when I m not even experiencing anxiety.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having urticaria.
My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid fast food and food with artificial colors.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 30 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral hydroxyzine, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
