General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

An abscess on the buttocks is usually a bacterial infection that start deep inside the skin and often involve hair follicles. Drainage is he first step of treating an abscess on the buttocks. I suggest you to wash and dry frequently the area. I suggest you to use antibiotic cream and also antibiotic tablets for systemic treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
