How Can An Abscess On The Arm Be Treated?

My daughter has had an abcess on her arm raised and tender . We have been doing hot soaks and essential oils. It s 3/4 in wide . She has no fever, no swollen glands, and hasn t changed much. I just want it to spontaneously to drain. Applying essential oils to soften it up. I do not want it to be lanced .. but I don t want her to end up w a cellulitis either or sepsis..going to see Doc tomorrow

Hello I have read through your question and want to tell you that if it is an abscess it has to be drained. It is a minor procedure after which the surgeon will give her an antibiotic course and pain killers for proper healing. I don't think it is a good idea to wait for it to rupture spontaneously as it may not drain properly and recur. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write.
