Hi Angeine,

Thank you for posting your question on Health care Magic

Acne is a very common condition occuring in teenage years and I suggest dont worry about it much :-) Having said that,
Acne treatment is usually given according to the grade of acne you have which can range from Grade I (mild) to Grade 4 (very severe). Also the treatment varies from topical cream applications, microdermabrasion chemical peeling and in severe cases oral medications.

As you haven't mentioned the area involved over the face and types of lesions (e.g black heads or red spots or pustules) I will suggest the following treatment of the time being:
1) Adapalene and benzoyl peroxide gel, to be applied over the pimples in a pea size amount at night. Stop if there is any redness and irritation
2) Do use a good moisturizer if there is any dryness
3) Use a topical medication with kojic acid to be applied of dark spots at night
4) DO NOT fiddle or press the pimples as it will leave spots and scars
5) Do remember acne may come in bouts due to the hormonal changes occurring in you during your teenage years, which will decrease with age.

Do follow up with me with good clear photographs of the lesions for a better solution.

Thanks,
Regards,
Dr. Gauri Kshirsagar
