How Can Acid Reflux Be Treated?

I have Afib and now I have developed Acid Reflux maybe from a cough I had in January-February. My doctor put me on Prilosec 40mg 2/x a day and went to have an endoscope and I was in Afib and they declined to do the procedure. The Afib became constant for several days. I took myself off of Prilosec and for a day the Afib went away. The Acid Reflux is frustrating because it mimics heart issues and get pressure in my chest. Are there any medications that don't have too many bad side effects?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Please go to tertiary hospital at your place and get evaluated, multi- specialty team is required for management.
You need a cardiologist to control the AFib and need to get a upper GI scopy done. you may have reflux either due to a hiatal hernia. If it is diagnosed an gets fixed your AFib will be treated.

Hope I have answered your query.
