I have a 12 1/2 year old granddaughter who has been feeling ill for two weeks. It started with stomach pain (upper abdomen) and some loose stools. Her pedo though gastritis so she hasn t been on Maalox with no relief. The past three days she has been very weak, tired, headache and sore throat. Felt chilled but not known if she had a fever. Tonight she was taken to a pediatric urgent care. Basic labs were normal, rapid strep normal. Flu swab not done. Labs are being sent to check for mono and pancreas. Full strep screen also to be done. We are all so worried and feel so bad for her. She appears very ill. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you.
