How Can Abdominal Bloating And Belching Be Treated?

it is now three weeks since falling on the floor as i was attempting to run from a dog-i fell directly on my chest and abdomen-using arnica , only took extra strength tylenol for a few days, doing full breathing exercises frequently during the day to avoid pneumonia possibility, feel like I have had 5 simultaneous mammograms in the left breast, did not go for films (fractured 2 ribs 5 years ago and the first films revealed no break, terrible pain persisted and second films revealed the actual fracture, so I did not go right away this time), however I have abdominal bloating, and alot of belching which is unusual for me, stool and urine are not discolored, no vomiting, diarrhea or constipation,; my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about 6 months after a nasty fall on the pavement, so I must admit that this is on my mind, although I realize that not everyone who falls has a subsequent cancer dx. Any advise for the bloating and what symptoms would make xrays advisable?thank you very much!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. Do not worry unnecessarily and think about uncommon things. You might be having gastritis or acid peptic disease. You need to follow some lifestyle tips

1. Do not eat spicy food
2. Take medications for gastritis- pantop/omez/rantac
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm
4. Drink plenty of water
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis
7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day
8. Learn meditation techniques
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit
