How Can A Thin-walled Unilocular Anechoic Cyst Is Seen In The Right Ovary And Nabothian Cysts Seen On The Cervix Be Treated?
Hi, Been spotting for 10 days, then off for 2 days and came back with prolonged menstruation at 13 days now. TVS says Normal sized anteverted uterus with smooth contour and homogenous echopattern. Endometrium is hyperehoic and smooth measuring 18.2mm. Subendometrial halo is intact. Anterior and posterium myometrium measures 1.6cm an 1.6cm respectively. No focal lesion seen. A thin-walled unilocular anechoic cyst is seen in the right ovary measuring 2.4 x 2.5 x 2.6 cm. No adnexal mass noted. no free fluid in the cul de sac. Also there are few nabothian cysts seen on the cervix. Cervix is long and closed with smooth walls. What could be the possible reason of my prolonged period? Thank you.
The scan doesn't show major issues other than a simple cyst. Your problem could be hormonal. Endometrial sampling may be done before starting hormones.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Your scan findings are normal other than a simple follicular cyst. The prolonged period could be due to hormonal variations. Better to get an endometrial sampling before starting hormones.
