How Can A Severe Gas Bubble In The Digestive Tract Be Treated?
I have a cramping type feeling in my lower abdomen--feels like my intestines in that area are cramping or slightly twisting and somewhat bulging--as if a blockage were present or I have a severe gas bubble. I have this sensation when sitting or standing intermittently. It started 2-3 days ago and is a bit more constant now. I have not had a full period in over a year even thought the feeling is similar to menstruation cramping. I am still regular and have a healthy appetite. No fever or nausea.
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern. Abdominal bloating occurs when the abdomen fills with air or gas. This may cause the area to appear larger or swollen. The abdomen may feel hard or tight to the touch. It can also cause discomfort and abdominal pain. Some advices that I can give to you are: -eat a diet with fibers -drink plenty of fluids -Avoid pain medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications -Try taking over-the-counter gas-reducing medications, such as simethicone drops or digestive enzymes, to help relieve bloating. Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help. Regards, dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
