How Can A Painful Bruise On The Leg Be Treated?

Hello Last Tuesday 2nd January I accidentally kicked our rocking chair. I figured I had just badly bruised it as the area wasn t that bad.. Well Saturday the pain kept me up pretty much all night it felt like a constant nagging ached. I do have small bruise in where I hit it but doesn t appear to be any swelling. From what I ve been reading it could be a stress fracture. I have an appt tomorrow to get it checked out as it will be a week then. What are your thoughts on this?
