General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of a lump in the neck & biopsy reports are inconclusive. Not all neck lumps are malignant. Some are enlarged lymph nodes caused by bacterial or viral infections. They can be treated with antibiotics orally or intravenously depending upon the severity of the pathology.

Quit addictions if any. Signs of malignancy are hoarseness of voice, sore throat, foul mouth odour, swelling/sore throat that does not heal.

If the lump is cancerous it will be treated with surgery, radiation & chemotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
