How Can A Dead Skin Graft Tissue Be Removed?

My skin graft died. I had basil cell carcinoma on the inside of my ear. DR removed basil cell and covered my wound with a skin graft from my face (next to ear). it died. They want to leave dead graft in place and allow the natural healing to grow back...I m not too happy having a dead thing on my ear. do I need tao worry?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You cannot remove the dead skin graft tissue on your own. You need medical help. I would suggest you consult a surgeon for the procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
