How Can A Broken Blood Vessel In The Right Eye Be Treated?

I have what appears to be a broken blood vessel in my right eye. Only the white is involved. About a week ago it became very bright red. Then it subsided to almost normal. Two days ago it got very red again. I can see fine out of it. There is a slight irritation and it looks like there s a tiny dot on the white near the iris. I have allergies and feed out hay to horses so occasionally If get itchy eyes, but I m not having extreme discomfort or anything, just very red.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This sounds like a subconjunctival hemorrhage and they are common in people with high BP, constipation and cold. Therefore, I would advise you to get all these rule out. They are self limiting so no need of any drops.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
