How Can A Boil On The Buttock Be Treated?

Hello I have gotten a huge boil in my buttocks size of a gold ball. My first boil. I ve been using warm compression. And using prid. Today it came to a head there are 3 to 4 heads on the boil. After I showered I clean with alcohol and the side of it busted. A lot of brown smelly liquid disscharge came ozzing out. I ve been cleaning every hour. Now it s a bloody discharge and I have this awful Odor coming from boil. And it s still very large. Just not that bad of pain. Should I be worried it didn t bust on its own. And that the discharge is bloody with white heads in it. It has been leaking for the past few hours. Please advise if I should go to doctor thank you

Hi,

A boil on the buttock or any other region is a case of bacterial infection like staphylococcus.

You don't need to worry, it can be managed by:
- Drug therapy.
- Incision and drainage by a surgeon.

But I feel you try these drug therapy:
- Rx Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid.
- Tab. Acelofenac, Paracetamol, Serratiopeptidase.
- Tab. Rabeprazole.

Hope, you will definitely feel healthy in a few days. However, if it doesn't respond then go to a surgeon, he will drain it. But I am sure that you will relieve in a few days and there would be no such need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
