How Can T7 Compression Fracture Be Managed?

I can t get my surgeon until Friday to go over the cat scan results. But x-ray showed a fracture to my T-7 so the doctor ordered the cat scan. I may have some stuff going on in the lower back as well. What exactly should I be and not be doing until I find out what the docs plans are?

Hi,

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, a fracture may settle at its own but you need to consult neurosurgeon and physiotherapist to consult for exact postural precautions as well as avoiding heavy wieght.

Supplements for calcium, D3, and ossein mineral complexes may be helpful. OTC analgesic like acetaminophen can be used for pain.

If dangerously significant or dislocation is present surgical correction may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
