My doctor told me to stop eating so many sweets. And I try, but it doesnt work, and i end up eating like 3 or 4 pieces of chocolate every day. I need to stop, because my blood sugar is already very high. Any tips on how to resist sugar? I also forgot to add that my grandfather had diabetes , which increases my chances a significant amount.
Hi well come to HCM.
Since genetically you are prone to DM, and as you said already your blood suger is
high, better to avoid sugar containig preperation. BUt now a days lot of sweets awalble
and claiming to be suger free preperation, you shhould try it if yopu can not give up
the temptation for sugar.Adviseble for you to check your sugar frequently, so as when
readings are high will make you alert for cutting sugar. Thanks
Simple cut down the chocolate consumption to half that is 2 pieces and then increase the work out sessions by twice the time that you are doing now, simple as it is. Did you understand the logic. It is about consuming the same amount of calories.

I get a headache every time I eat fruit . Could I be diabetic? This is a fairly new thing. I have struggled with headaches my whole life but never been able to figure out what they are connected to. A website made me think I could be hypoglycemic because I also struggle with depression, insomnia, and low energy. But all this could also be related to stress. How can I find out? Is there a blood test?
I experience a crawling, stinging sensation in my legs and feet, especially at night. I use lotion frequently to provide relief and prevent the skin of my feet from splitting and peeling. I ve lost the majority of sensation in both of my pinkie toes. When I had a primary care doctor, she told me that a blood test worried her, that I may have diabetes, but that she wanted to run additional tests, but I lost my coverage. But the pain and numbness are getting worse. Do I have to worry about diabetes? And what can I do to rule it out?

My A1C is also in normal ranges. I was diagnosed with high cholesterol at age 26. At diagnosis, my total cholesterol was 310. Now it is down to 210 with medication and diet. At diagnois, my LDL cholesterol was 220 and has now dropped to 135 with medications. At diagnosis my HDL cholesterol was 75 and has now risen to 90 with my total cholesterol level being 210 at my last appointment with my cardiologist which was two weeks ago. I have been obese for most of my life and have been unable to lose much weight even with diet and exercise. At my heaviest, I weighed 285 pounds and am now down to 245 pounds which is about 110 pounds overweight. I take Metformin, Benicar, and Vytorin. Last night, I felt naseous and had waves of slight pain and pressure in my chest. I also felt pain in my jawline and left elbow area, which came and went in waves. I was sweating more than usual and was dizzy, but felt better with rest. Today I went about my normal routine, but felt dizzy when I went on my evening walk and now my left arm is numb. With my history, should I go to the ER just be sure this isn t cardiac related?
