Does Missing One Dose Of Meds Really Have An Impact?

I have Afib. I take digoxin and diliiaz 180. I had a bout of kidney stones which raised my creatinin level to 6.5. They cut my digoxin dose to 125 from 250. I also have type 2 diabetes so they cut out my metformin and cut my glipizide form 10 to 5. My numbers are 130-200. I also take warfarin because of the afib. I skipped last nights dose and will miss tonights dose because of dental work tomorrow. My last level check was high (3.6). I just suffered a dizzy spell. I feel a little better now. Should I be concerned?

Hi,

No, there is no need to concern. As long as you return back to take your medication again, as soon as you finish your dental work.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
