Hi need to prepone my periods. My periods start after every 20 days of finishing the previous one. So today is my periods last day. And as per expected routine should happen on 21st of July. I have very heavy bleeding during first 3 days and incidentally I have to travel on 22nd and thereafter attend a wedding function in family. Can I prepine my periods to one week or at least 4 days so that I am free for the travel day.
I should complement you for planning about your menses well in advance.
You can prepone or postpone your periods.
For preponing the period, since this is the last day of your cycle, take birth control pills for next one week. Then after discontinuing the pills, you will have withdrawal bleeding within 4-7 days. However, the exact time when the withdrawal bleeding will appear cannot be predicted. Hence, I would advise yo to opt for postponement of your period.
To postpone a period, start birth control pills one week prior to the expected date of your next period. Continue the pills till you are ready to have menses. After discontinuing the pills, you will get withdrawal bleeding within 4-7 days.
I hope this helps you.
