How Can I Get Rid Of Subcortical Cyst On The Left Ankle?

I have been diagnosed with a subcortical cyst on my left ankle (in the bone and painful at times, although Motrin does help the pain), At this time, surgery is not recommended; however, I was wondering if something other than Glucosamine Chondrotitin Complex would reduce the cyst and lessen the swelling. I currently take one Gluc/Chon tablet a day; should I be taking more? Or maybe you have a better solution?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Glucosamine can provide some symptomatic relief and size will reduce but recurrence is a common problem. If you are not comfortable with the surgery, then you can opt for aspiration under ultrasound guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
