General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The best treatment for the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD ) is oxygen inhalation which is given at controlled rate for a 14 to 15 hours per day. The second best option is inhaler therapy by drugs as beta-agonist and steroid inhaler with fixed combination are available. Please consult a local doctor he will prescribe it for you. You should avoid smoking and alcohol and air pollution.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
