How Can Buerger's Disease With Marijuana Addiction Be Treated?
Hi I am concerned about my 41 year old brother who denies smoking heavily for years but has recently been diagnosed with buergers disease. I want to help him but am unsure as he smokes mostly marijuana rolled up with tobacco. I am thinking about about buying him a false cigarette to help him stop but he is addicted to marijuana and i dont think he can stop that. I know this sounds ridiculous but what effect would just smoking marijuana have . would this be ok , He has no-one else to look out for him. I dont think he can give up both . Is there any thing he could take as a substitute We have recently lost an elder brother with a brain tumour who never smoked. Im worried sick for him as he does not seem to understand the complications of his smoking.
Cannot say in his particular case, but there's some general principles that might be helpful.
Buerger's is an autoimmune allergic disease closely tied to tobacco. Not commonly associated with marijuana. Of course, alternate delivery means of nicotine and THC gets rid of the issue since it is very UNlikely that Buerger's is to those particular chemicals. So.... nicotine replacement (patch, lozenge and increasingly e-cigs) and marijuana by a route other than by lung. (cooked).
