How Accurate Is The Dettol Pregnancy Test?

Hi doctor. How accurate is the detol pregnancy test? I did the detol test and its positive. It separates and it looks oily ontop. My period is regular and in both my previous pregnancy I had my period till the end. Can you please tell if the detol test is accurate? Thank you Liezl

The test is very accurate, over 99%. If it was positive, then you can be quite certain that you are pregnant. It is not possible to actually have a period during your pregnancy, though some women may have some bleeding that could seem like a period. If you feel like you need to confirm the test, you can ask your doctor to do a blood test as well. Good luck! Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.
