Hospitalized And On Haldol, Lithium, Ativan. Is This Safe For A Schizophrenia Patient With Paranoia ?

I have a son in the hospital for a year already and now he is on 15 mg haldol and 600 mg lithium and 1 mg
ativan he is only 18. is this medication to much for a kid with schizophrenia y paranoia?
thank you!

He got somehow catatonic before when the meds were discontinue for a few days due to
a low blood count.

Well you see for paranoid schizophrenia in an 18 year old boy the doses of the 3 drugs that you have mentioned are appropriate and they are within the normal safe therapeutic range therefore there is no need to worry about this. The safe therapeutic dose range for Haldol is 5-20 mg / day , for lithium it is 300-1500 mg/ day and for Ativan it is 0.25-3 mg / day respectively.

Although i suggest you that you continue getting his blood count done at regular interval, say every 3 months period.

So his drug regime shall be continued uninterrupted.
