High BP. Prescribed Sofvasc And Citanew. Is The Reading Normal?
I am 47, realized that I have higher blood pressure. The lower side goes up to 110 and upper around 140. My doctor prescribed sofvasc (5mg) one daily and Citanew (5mg) one at night for two months. Now some times my blood pressure Lower side reads below 70 and some time around 85. Is it OK? What citanew has to do with it?
After going through your history, you are having Hypertension(High blood pressure), I am glad that you responded to treatment and you blood pressure reading is in desirable range, Amlodipine is good drug for high blood pressure.
Please continue to take medicine regularly along with certain life style changes like take less salt Other drug is Escitalopram is antianxiety and antidepressant medicine used to reduce comorbid anxiety,You can discuss with your treating Physician regarding this.
Please continue to do periodic medical check up and modification of treatment if required.
Hope this helps. Take care. Good Luck. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D.
