Hi. This May Seem A Stupid Question But I Have

Hi. This may seem a stupid question but I have passed a brown mucus jelly like substance before very small bowel movement even though it felt like a bigger movement.

One month ago I had severe pain on my left lower abdomen. Felt like trapped wind and on a subsequent bowel movement passed blood. Never happened before not since.

I had a groin hernia operation on the same side eleven years ago.

That's all i can think of for now.

Would it be cause for concern and worth checking out further. I am 40 yrs old six three tall slim build. Had blood tests done three months ago as I do once a year and all readings were within normal levels.

Regards
