Hi, I have a biliary drain and it has been capped for 3 months. I went into IR to have it replaced and they told me to keep uncapped for 24 hrs and if no blood then cap again. I went into VA clinic yesterday and my regular Physician was out so I had a a Resident. He asked me how much output I had in the 24 hrs it was uncapped, and I told him 2 full bags. He said that may cause problems and told me to uncap again! I thought a lot of output is good, what is "normal" output? Thank you!
