Hi I Had A Question About Long Term Side Effects

Hi I had a question about long term side effects of cannabis.

I used cannabis in the form of cookies, daily for 3 months straight, as a means of helping an ongoing chronic pain issue. As time went on I built up somewhat of a tolerance to it, and so I began using more and more to get the same effect. The dose however was low and the effects were primarily limited to physical effects, in order to help with the continual pain I was experiencing.

Eventually I began smoking it, though this only happened 3 times. At this point I noticed very strong psychological effects as well including a noticeable but positive change in my consciousness, and a feeling of being deeply connected to the friends I was with at the time.

I have since ceased all cannabis used entirely, as my pain problems have subsided. However my issue is that it has been 3 months since I smoked cannabis on that occasion, and it appears I still have continued psychological effects from the drug.

Occasionally life seems like a dream, every now and then I have weird, spontaneously occurring thoughts that do not make sense, and colors seem brighter than before I used this drug. I also have short term memory problems and my thinking is more disorganized than before the use of the drug, having lost my ability to multi-task, and my perception of time is still distorted that I sometimes forget where I am and what I am doing. However these effects are not so bad that they prevent my from functioning normally in my life.

I am becoming increasingly paranoid that this may be the start of some kind of cannabis induced psychosis? I have never suffered from any physical or mental illness in my lifetime except for the chronic pain issue that required the use of this drug.

I would like to know if you think these seemingly permanent effects will eventually completely wear off and if so what supplements could I take or things could I do to speed up the process?

Thanks in advance.
