Is It Safe For An Elderly Person To Take Tramadol For Knee Pain?
Hi I am taking tramadol 50mg, I was taking 2 three x a day now I am taking 1 three times a day. My question is it safe for me , I have real bad pain in my knees and just my whole body. I am 72 years young, and have been told that I had chf. Right now that is under controled. I am getting ready to have knee replaced on my left knee. I just want to take a safe pill.
Yes, Tramadol would be safe for you. It is a potent analgesic, with a potency comparable to opioids but free from side effects encountered with opioids like cardio-respiratory depression. It is cardio safe and renal safe. You might feel a bit nauseating....that's all.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello, Tramadol is a safe medication to take for the pain. I would recommend trying taking Acetaminophen. It is much safer. If it won t be effective, you can try Tramadol.
