Here is my bizarre and perplexing medical problem.....
I had the chicken pox when I was in the second trimester of pregnancy with my son. I had a horrible outbreak and had them internally and externally!!!! This was 30 years ago....since then I have had mono, Epstein-Barr, and shingles 3 confirmed times and a year and one-half ago had a devastating case of primary CMV!!!! Was very ill for months and had some liver and organ problems.....
Just recently I broke out with what appeared to me as shingles....all the characteristic signs and symptoms. However, with each outbreak they never manifest physically as much as nerve pain. The doctor puts me on anti-viral meds for ten days....I take all the meds and persisted to have post neuralgia...I am very tired of all this and wonder if I should see a infectious disease specialist for further testing....my impression is that my body is overwhelmed with the Herpes virus and my immune system sucks!!! What is your impression and thoughts...Thank-you Dana McElrath
